Hi I'm Nick Vardavas!

If you have a goal and willing to put in the work, I promise a great workout and results.

MY EXPERTISE

  • Fat Loss
  • Strength
  • Muscle
  • Conditioning

THE 10 (TRAINING) COMMANDMENTS

  1. Assess before engage. I need to know you can move well. Then we can move often.
  2. Technique. Unless you can demonstrate competency in the basic moves forget about the fancy stuff.
  3. Mobility. Can’t have you move to ranges you don’t have.
  4. You need to have a goal. I can’t prescribe the right medicine if I don’t know the desired outcome.
  5. You need a plan. Any fool can make another fool sore with a million burpees. Is that going to take you closer to your goal? Probably not.
  6. Strength is king. The mother of all attributes. Strength makes everything else easier.
  7. Cardio is queen. Without conditioning you’re a Porsche with a moped engine.
  8. Balance. And I mean structural balance. Upper – lower, front and back. Legs are a priority.
  9. Leave your ego at the locker room. You are not here to impress anyone and no-one cares how much you lift. The only thing is to get better.
  10. Workouts have to be fun. Effective doesn’t mean boring.
  11. Give it your best. Workouts won’t work unless you do.

BACK TO THE FUTURE

These days I spend most of my time working with busy moms and aspiring guys 35-44 years old who want to change their bodies.

Either that or tennis players who want to take their performance to the next level. I also mentor or train other trainers who want the extra knowledge or to stay up to date.

In addition to my training business, I’m also passionate about educating.

Ten years ago I started working as a teacher in a local private school for personal trainers.

Teaching is an amazing experience that keeps you humble and constantly updated.

I also write periodically on my blog. Lately you can find me more on social media.

I also consult with several gyms and sports professionals regarding their conditioning programs, lecture trainers and gyms alike. I also teach courses in a private fitness school here locally.

MY STORY

I wasn’t always the athletic type you see. Nevertheless I was involved in sports from a young age. In junior school I won a gold metal in 100 X relays. I also started playing tennis at that age.

There was one problem.  I never actually looked the part. I was a chubby kid.

Fast forward 10 years, I am thousands of miles away from home studying for my bachelor’s in Texas. One day I look at myself in the mirror and my skinny fat reflection gives me the finger. I decide to put an end to this.Like all 20 year old guys do, I also want to be buff. I tried every workout and diet under the sun.

I went from big and soft to super-cut and skinny and everywhere in between. As you see it took a while before I had a grip on the perfect recipe for success. Despite the fact that I made mistakes, I did make progress: I’d packed on almost 30 pounds of muscle, but with radically different physique.  It just took me much longer than it should.

I got to be honest though, those mistakes were the best things that ever happened to me.  Stumbling onto methods I would not have otherwise been aware of, my mistakes helped me come up with systems that became the cornerstone of my career, and allowed me to transform people’s lives.

The important part is this: getting into shape changed everything for me. It changed nearly everything about me. I grew more confident and assertive, more ambitious, and more successful in every area of my life, from school and work to my personal life.

And I decided I wanted to help other people do that, too. I continued learning as much as I could, and the rest, as they say, is history.
